Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Hope you're wearing something green!
Speaking of wearing, I wanted to share some of my progress in my ongoing style journey. Lately I've been trying to experiment with various things already in my closet, and really embrace the process of rediscovering/redesigning my fashion.
I've totally re-embraced my high waisted shorts, I'm exploring androgyny, and am also bringing some uber girly elements to my wardrobe.
And it's been so much fun! Instead of standing in front of my closet for 30 minutes getting stressed out, trying on a bajillion things, then - on the verge of dramatic tears - throwing on sweatpants and the same tank top I wore yesterday, I put on something fun that makes me feel happy and I get on with my life. I don't feel nearly as self-conscious when I'm out and about - instead I feel confident, unique, and like I'm making a statement with my style.
Here are a couple of outfits I've worn over the past week:
First up, a look I'm calling urban gypsy:
Shorts: American Apparel
Sweater: American Eagle
Boots: Steve Madden (but I found them at Buffalo Exchange)
Jewelry/sunglasses: Forever 21
The second look is more girly/southern chic. I LOVE my cowboy boots (shout-out Texas!) paired with poofy, pink skirts and lacy tops - I'm a huge fan of juxtaposition in fashion.
Boots: Justin Boots (back in Texas!)
Skirt: Forever 21
Tank top: Free People
Necklace: Betsey Johnson (but found at Buffalo Exchange)
Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters
